The 6 Rings Postgame Show: Trent Brown seems to only care about Trent Brown

As the Patriots head into their final game of the 2023-24 season with a 4-12 record, the worst of the Bill Belichick era, the coach's future is at the forefront of the week as we ring in the new year.

Will Robert Kraft move on from his decorated head coach? Will it be mutual? A firing? Will he be back? All of these questions are valid as New England gets ready to welcome the Jets to Foxborough this Sunday.

Of course, that's all that's on Belichick's mind.

“Yeah I’m focused on getting ready for the Jets,” he said on Monday morning when asked if he hopes to return to the Patriots in 2024. “We haven’t played them in a long time. Been the whole season, so. Working on the Jets here and getting ready to go.”

Belichick was then asked if he's had time to reflect back on his time in New England, and what the fans have meant to him.

“I’ll deal with that some other time,” he said. “Right now, I’m just trying to get the team ready for the Jets. Finish up the Buffalo game and continue to coach the team and try to help the players and the team play better.”

Sunday's contest against New York will kick off at 1 p.m. from Gillette Stadium.
