Patriots cornerback Jack Jones was arrested at Boston's Logan International Airport Friday evening after attempting to bring two firearms on a plane, according to Boston 25 News.

Massachusetts State Police told Boston 25 that troopers were called to a security checkpoint after two firearms were found in Jones' carry-on luggage.

Jones is facing charges that include possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a large-capacity feeding device, according to police.

Boston 25 reports that Jones was booked at the State Police-Logan Airport Barracks and posted bail at $50,000. He will be arraigned next week in East Boston District Court.

"We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today," a Patriots spokesperson told Boston 25. "We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time."

Jones was a fourth-round pick of the Patriots in the 2022 NFL Draft and played well as a rookie, appearing in 13 games and recording 30 tackles, six passes defensed and two interceptions, including a pick-six of Aaron Rodgers in Week 4.

Jones suffered a knee injury in December and was later suspended by the team, reportedly for being late to rehab sessions.
