Mac Jones is a popular name when it comes to the Patriots in the NFL Draft.
The Alabama quarterback could go anywhere from in the top 10 to even after Round 1. Many have connected him to the Patriots at No. 15 overall and if that's the case, Patriots fans will like what Tua Tagovailoa had to say about his former teammate.
“I would say he’s a sly kind of athletic person,” Tagovailoa said on a Yahoo! Sports podcast. “He’s a more mobile Tom Brady.”
Jones threw for 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns and four interceptions last year with Alabama. With that being said, some have noted how talented his weapons were and held that against the QB.
“He’s a really great person,” Tagovailoa said. “A lot of the guys, when I was playing at Alabama, they really loved being around his personality and who he was. So I’m thinking whatever team gets him they’re going to be very lucky. He’s a great player.”
New England spoke with Jones at the Senior Bowl and the QB said he hoped he "left a good impact" on them.
