Bills sign safety Dee Delaney, release wide receiver Quintez Cephus

Delaney signs a one-year deal with Buffalo

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills continue to shuffle the deck with their roster ahead of the 2024 season of football in Orchard Park.

The team announced on Thursday the signing of veteran safety Dee Delaney to a one-year deal, while also releasing wide receiver Quintez Cephus.

Delaney, 29, has had a number of stops since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018, starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had also made stops with the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders before spending 2021-23 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In 52 career games, Delaney has registered 71 total tackles, three tackles for loss and three interceptions.

As for Cephus, he ultimately only spent a few weeks with the Bills after officially signing with Buffalo back on April 29. He had recently been reinstated by the NFL after being suspended for a year for violating the league's gambling policy.
