Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin plans on playing football again, and he's fully cleared to do that from all of his doctors, according to Brandon Beane.

"Damar saw his last specialist on Friday," the Bills general manager said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati when the Bills played the Bengals on "Monday Night Football" back on Jan. 2. The game was halted, and ultimately canceled, while Hamlin was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

"When he left Cincinnati and came here to Buffalo General, he saw a couple of specialists here in Buffalo," Beane said Tuesday while talking to reporters at One Bills Drive.

"Since then, he's seen three additional specialists, most recently on Friday, and they're all in agreement. It's not 2-to-1 or 3-to-1 or anything like that. They're all in lock-step of what this was, and that he is cleared to resume full activities just like anyone else who is coming back from an injury or whatever."

Bills players began their offseason workout program on Monday. The workouts are voluntary for all players, but Hamlin showed up and joined in with his teammates.

"He's fully cleared," Beane said. "He's here, and he's of the mindset, a great headspace, to come back and make his return."
