Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Josh Allen admits the areas he specifically put points of emphasis on got away from him on Monday night in a 22-16 overtime loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
"Obviously, got to play smarter football," the Bills quarterback said Wednesday following a walk-through practice in Orchard Park. "In the grand scheme of things, it's one game, and we're not going to let it turn into two."
Allen threw three interceptions on Monday, and also fumbled the ball away late in a tied 13-13 game. This after the Bills had led the game 13-3 at halftime.
"I'm not going to let it effect me going forward," Allen said as the team prepares for it's home opener Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. "As a quarterback in this league, the best ones are able to put this behind them, but take away lessons from it, but not let it effect how they play the next game in a negative way. I'm going try to use it to my advantage and learn from it."
Head coach Sean McDermott said there were no new injuries of significance to report following Monday's game. Center Mitch Morse was the only name to appear on the official report, but he was a full participant with a finger injury.
