Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Bills will play preseason game No. 2 on Saturday against the Denver Broncos, and head coach Sean McDermott says Josh Allen and the starters will play.
“I’m not going to get into how much they’ll play. I would just say the starters will play a healthy amount this week," said McDermott on Thursday.
“What quarter, I really couldn’t tell you right now, but I’ve got a decent feel, at this point, and we’ll see how the game goes.”

McDermott says that goes for most starters, but not all starters. He did confirm, though, that Allen is going to play.
As far as other players for the game against the Broncos, McDermott says the team has already been adjusting based on who stood out last week against the Indianapolis Colts.
"[We're] trying to make sure we give those players who have earned it more reps, but also trying to get all the players reps and give them a fair chance to show us what they have and make the team,” he said.
Allen has admitted in the past that he likes to get a little preseason action in.
“It’s just getting out there and getting into the flow of a regular game, and going through the warmups and getting out there and executing, and doing what we’ve been practicing and what [offensive coordinator Ken] Dorsey is looking for and all the things that he has stressed and emphasized," McDermott reasoned. "Obviously you want to score points, but just executing out there, because Josh will be hearing a new voice in his ear. I think there’s a lot that we want to put into practice in a game.”

McDermott also addressed a few of his injured veterans on the roster.
“No update on Tre [White]," he said of his sixth-year cornerback. "He continues to rehab, and that’s all I can tell you right now.”
As far as Jordan Poyer goes, McDermott says he's improving every day and trending in the right direction.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game in Orchard Park is set for 1 p.m. ET.
