An argument between friends in Oakland County ended with a knife being pulled and one man being shot.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Holly Township.
Police said a man showed up at his friend's house under the influence and an argument broke out when the man was asked to leave. The allegedly drunken man pulled a knife and tried to attack his friend, police said, when the pal shot one round.
The friend's pistol was registered legally, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be arrested as police say he has open warrants for domestic violence and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
