
DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit Police Chief James White was at the White House on Friday talking about using federal American Rescue Plan dollars to reduce crime in a city notorious for violence. Later that night a man and a teenage girl were caught in the crossfire of a shootout right in the middle of downtown Detroit.
Around 24 hours later, Detroit police officers were involved in a shootout with suspects just a few blocks away, as more gunfire erupted in the city.
