DETROIT (WWJ) -- A Detroit family seeking answers and justice in the case of a loved one who was stabbed to death is not giving up the fight.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan has announced it is offering a $2,500 cash reward for the tip that leads to an arrest of the person who murdered 41-year-old Ladon Henderson, Sr., back in 2016.

Henderson, who was a paraplegic, was killed on Saturday, March 16, 2016 at around 12 a.m., according to Crime Stoppers.

Investigators said Henderson had stopped in front of his home, in the 5000 block of Whitfield, near the Jeffries Freeway and Joy Rd. on Detroit’s west side, when a silver Honda pulled up next to him.

Henderson remained seated in his vehicle as three unknown men got out of their car and started arguing with him.

He was then stabbed by one of the men.

The killer and the other two men then returned to the silver vehicle and left the scene.

It's not known what Henderson and the men were arguing about, or why anyone would want to kill Henderson.

Since that time there have been no arrests in the case, and no suspects have been named.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). Tips may also be submitted online at this link.

As always, those who contact Crime Stoppers will stay 100% anonymous, will not be asked their names and are not required to speak to police or to testify in court. Cash rewards are paid by Crime Stoppers upon an arrest in a case; they do not wait for a conviction.
