DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police investigators have identified a suspect in a year-old murder case, and they're hoping a tip from the public will help them track him down.

Police said they are searching for 29-year-old Diontae Drake, who is wanted in connection with fatal shooting of a teenager during a robbery on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, on the east side.

Police said the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was shot in the 15900 block of Edmore, near Redmond and 8 Mile Rd., at around 9:40 p.m.

The shooter fled, police said, and the teen was taken to a local hospital where he died later that night.

On Tuesday, the DPD released a photo of Drake, in hopes that someone in the public has seen him.

Anyone who knows of Drakes' whereabouts, or who has any other information about to this homicide case, is asked to call the DPD's Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak U (1-800-773-2587). To submit an anonymous tip online, visit this link.
