MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) – A 19-year-old Eastpointe man has been ordered to trial for allegedly robbing a truck delivering iPhones in Macomb County over the winter.

Myron Johnson was bound over for trial Tuesday on charges of armed robbery and felony firearm for the January 2023 incident.

Authorities say on Jan. 13 Johnson confronted a truck driver delivering iPhones in Clinton Township and demanded the packages.

When Johnson showed the driver a handgun, he gave him the packages, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities did not say how many iPhones were taken or how much the stolen goods were valued at.

“Our community will never accept any acts of violence and intimidation,” Prosecutor Pete Lucido said.

Johnson’s next court date is scheduled for July 24.
