EASTPOINTE (WWJ) -- A deadly pedestrian accident is under investigation in Eastpointe.
Police say a man in his 50s was walking in the area of Gratiot and Chestnut just after 10:30 p.m. on Monday when he was hit by a car. He later died.
The driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative with police.
Officials say that drugs/alcohol and reckless driving do not appear to be factors in the fatal accident.
