Female suspect sought in 4th of July shooting caught on video in Detroit [WATCH]

The Detroit Police Department is asking for help to locate a suspect wanted in a shooting on the east side, late at night on the 4th of July.

A 27-year-old woman was wounded in the incident caught on surveillance video at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the suspect — identified as a 23-year-old woman — got into an argument with a woman inside of a business in the 19000 block of Van Dyke. Once outside the location, she got handgun from a vehicle and fired shots at the victim, striking her.

The suspect then got into the passenger side of a red 2009 Dodge Avenger, license plate EKZ5378, last seen heading eastbound on 7 Mile Rd.

Police said the suspect is approximately 5’2'' tall and 110 lbs., with a brown complexion and multicolored dreadlocks. She was last seen wearing red shorts and a white tank top. There is no description at this time of the person who was driving the car.

Still at large on Tuesday, the woman should be considered armed and dangerous.
