HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) – The search is on for a homeless Macomb County man who police say approached a pair of teenagers in a church parking lot with a bladed weapon.
Authorities are searching for 24-year-old Christian Snow, who pulled out a bladed weapon and damaged a car in the parking lot of St. Hubert’s Church on Prentiss Street in the early morning hours of April 15.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the church that morning on the report of a “suspicious white male with a bladed weapon.”
Authorities say Snow was speaking in “a gibberish manner” to the occupants of the vehicle, both 18 years old, as he took the blade to the car and then chased them out of the parking lot on foot.
Neither teen was injured in the incident, authorities said
There was no sign of Snow when deputies arrived to the church parking lot. An investigation helped authorities identify Snow as the suspect.
Snow is diagnosed as schizophrenic and has recently made social media posts that state he will harm himself and others.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous. Snow currently has a valid warrant for his arrest for dangerous weapons from a previous incident in 2021. Authorities did not disclose any details about that incident.
Snow is known to frequent places of worship, according to police. He is believed to be in the Macomb County area, specifically, Harrison Township, Mt. Clemens, Clinton Township, and possibly St. Clair Shores.
Police describe Snow as approximately 5-foot-10, 140 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue and black flannel shirt, with a beanie hat. He travels on foot and is not believed to have a vehicle.
Anyone who sees Snow is asked to call 911. He should not be approached.
The MCSO is actively searching for Snow and other local law enforcement agencies are also aware of the situation.
