ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- A Macomb County man could be headed to prison if he's convicted as charged in a bizarre incident in Roseville this week.

On Monday, the prosecutor say 30-year-old Dakarai Lamar Farmer of Eastpointe walked into a store in Roseville and sexually assaulted the owner by "inappropriately touching her."

A man, identified in reports as the woman's husband, chased Farmer out of the store, officials said.

That's when it's alleged that Farmer hopped on a bicycle and fled the scene, while pointing a gun and shooting at the man.

While prosecutors said Farmer filed multiple shots, no one was hit or injured.

Farmer was tracked down by investigators and arrested in Eastpointe the same day.

He was arraigned in Roseville District Court Monday on one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm (a five year felony); Felon in Possession of Ammunition (a five year felony); Carrying a Concealed Weapon (a five year felony); Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (a four year felony); three counts of Felony Firearm (a mandatory two year felony); and one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fourth Degree (a two-year high-court misdemeanor).

Judge Alyia Hakim set bond for Farmer at $30,000 cash/surety, while also ordering a mental health assessment.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office said that is requests a mental health assessment for every gun crime "to provide an opportunity for mental health treatment before a suspect can get a chance to commit another gun crime."

If Farmer is released on bond, he is ordered to wear a GPS tether and have no contact with the victims.

Michigan Department of Corrections records indicate that Farmer was on felony probation at the time of these alleged crimes.

“The gravity of gun violence cannot be overstated. Felons cannot legally possess firearms,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido, in a statement.

Farmer will be back in court for a Probable Cause Conference, scheduled for Aug. 9.
