A man was shot to death this morning in a driveway in northwest Detroit.
Police said they responded at about 4:45 a.m. to a home on Lenore on McNichols and Telegraph where they found a man with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Circumstances of the shooting are unknown -- including if the crime was random or if the man was targeted for some reason. An investigation is ongoing.
Detroit has seen a spike in violent crime amid the pandemic. James Craig revealed in January that the city had 327 murders in 2020, up 19% from 2019. Detroit also had 1,173 non-fatal shootings, up 53%.
