
(WWJ) Detroit Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a gunman who shot a teenager in Detroit.
The 16-year-old victim survived the shooting on Saturday, Feb. 13, in the 15000 block of E. Warren on the city's east side.
According to investigators, the victim was in the area with another 16-year-old boy at around 7:20 p.m. when they got into an argument with an unknown male suspect.
The suspect then began firing multiple shots in the teens' direction, striking one of them.
Both victims were able to run to a nearby residence where they called 911. The wounded victim was then taken to a local hospital for treatment, and has since been released.
After the shooting — which was captured in blurry images on a security camera — the suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
At this time he is described only as a male wearing white pants with a gray hoodie and armed with a gun.
Police did not say what the shooter and the victims were arguing about.
