
DETROIT (WWJ) -- A portion of I-75 has reopened after police closed it early Monday morning to investigate an alleged freeway shooting.
According to the Michigan State Police it happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in southwest Detroit.
A man contacted River Rouge police and told them that someone in a dark pickup truck fired shots at him while he was traveling on northbound I-75 between Schaefer and Springwells in the left lane.
Troopers closed the freeway for hours to look for evidence and to try to verify the victim's story.
The man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Information from the investigation is currently unknown. The freeway has since been reopened and police are continuing to update this investigation as new information becomes available.
