MSP seize illegal firearms, crack cocaine during traffic stop in Flint

GENESEE COUNTY (WWJ) -- A Flint man is in jail after Michigan State Police said they found illegal and stolen guns in his car along with crack cocaine.

On Saturday, MSP said they pulled over a 45-year-old man for vehicle equipment violations as well as license plate and insurance infractions.

During the traffic stop, police discovered the man had concealed a loaded 10mm pistol in his waistband. While conducting a vehicle search, they found four illegal firearms -- two of which were stolen and one had an obliterated serial.

MSP said they also found five bottles of prescription drugs suspected to be Adderall, Clonazepam, Valium, Vicodin and Tramadol. Crack cocaine was also seized from the car.

A search warrant was served at the driver's residence where an additional 11 illegal firearms & ammunition were recovered.
