
EAST LANSING (WWJ) - A Michigan State University student that was injured in last month's deadly mas shooting has been released from the hospital, authorities announced on Wednesday.
Sparrow Hospital officials in Lansing provided the update through the Michigan State University Police and Public Safety at 11:15 a.m. The student has been hospitalized since Feb. 13 when they were shot on campus.
Sparrow Hospital said the student was previously in fair condition, but has since improved to be discharged.
Four other students were injured in the fatal incident -- three have preciously been discharged while one patient remains in critical condition.
Last month, a gunman began firing on students and staff at Berkey Hall before open firing a second time at MSU Union. The shooting killed three students and injured five others.
Brian Fraser, Alexandria Verner and Arielle Diamond Anderson -- all of Metro Detroit -- were killed in the shooting.
The gunman was located a few miles from campus later on in the evening and died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
