Most people take shelter when severe weather appears in Michigan. Unless you're a storm chaser

(WWJ) – All of Southeast Michigan was under a Tornado Watch on Tuesday. Though no tornadoes were ultimately reported, there were winds topping 50 mph all across the area and some places saw hail and rain.

Now that spring has sprung, Michiganders will have to be on the lookout for severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes.

When that happens, most of us will take shelter, but as WWJ’s Zach Clark learns from an amateur storm chaser on a new Daily J podcast, there are a select few who will run towards the storm.
