DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are asking for help from the public to track down a man they're calling a "person of interest" in connection with multiple deadly shootings and robberies in Detroit.
The Detroit Police Department on Wednesday released a photo of the man who may be responsible for an early morning robbery that led to a fatal shooting last Thursday at L George's Coney Island.
Now police believe the same person is also believed to be possibly connected to other robberies and fatal shootings as well, in addition to another nonfatal shooting.
"His name is D'Antonino Jones. We believe he is currently in the Cincinnati, Ohio area," DPD Assistant Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald told WWJ's Jon Hewett and other reporters.
"Prior to the shooting at the L George's Coney Island, he was videotaped inside one of our (Project) Greenlight locations about 45 minutes, matching the full description of clothing and everything else, and he was not masked up."
Fitzgerald said the DPD used facial recognition technology to identify Jones, who could be hiding out in Ohio, or who may have already come back to the Detroit area.

The assistance chief said a vehicle that Jones was believed to be driving, a white Chrysler 200, comes back registered to a family member of Jones in the greater Cincinnati area.
Anyone who sees this person should call Detroit Police at 313-596-2260, or dial 911.
