Police searching for convicted felon suspected in Pontiac double shooting

PONTIAC, Mich. (WWJ) -- Police have identified the suspect they’re searching for in a Nov. 4 shooting that left two men dead at a house in Pontiac.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Torris Neal Green has been named in felony warrants accusing him of killing 23-year-old Stefon Crow and 30-year-old Kyle Milton at a home in the 60 block of North Johnson Avenue last week.

The warrants include two counts each of open murder, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Green, who police say is a convicted felon, with prior convictions for assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and intent to deliver a controlled substance.

“This suspect has shown his obvious disregard for human life, and we consider him to be extremely dangerous,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said.

Deputies were called to the home on Johnson shortly after 10 p.m. last Thursday after they received multiple reports of “shots fired and a woman screaming.”

When police got to the home, they found Milton lying in the front yard, with his shirt covered in blood. His breathing was very shallow.

There was a blood trail running from the backdoor of the house to a nearby vehicle and then to the area where Milton was lying, police said.

He died a short time later.

Deputies found Crow’s body inside the home, near the living room. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman who was heard screaming was also found in the home, but she was not injured, according to police.

Authorities recovered multiple shell casings and bullets inside the home, near Crow’s body and at the back door.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting or disclosed any details about the moments leading up to the incident.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to Green’s arrest. Anyone with information regarding the case can anonymously submit tips at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Anyone who knows something about the shooting deaths of Milton and Crow can also contact the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says there have been 12 homicides in Pontiac so far this year, including the deaths of Milton and Crow. There were 13 murders at this time last year, while there were 10 in the same timeframe in 2019 and 15 in 2018, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities are also investigating a fatal shooting Monday that left one woman dead and another injured.

Police are also looking for two suspects in a Halloween-night shooting at a store that left a 39-year-old man dead.
