Police searching for suspected auto thieves after trucks stolen in Metro Detroit

Authorities said car lot in Macomb County was hit by burglars after several vehicles went missing overnight.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Authorities said a car lot in Macomb County was hit by suspected burglars after several vehicles went missing overnight.

The Shelby Township Police confirmed several Chrysler products were taken from a lot at an undisclosed location in Shelby Township.

The shift commander said an investigation into the theft would begin on Thursday and there were no suspects and no arrests made at this time.

Ram trucks have been the target of thieves at the Stellantis Assembly Plant in Sterling Heights in recent months.

It is unclear if the most recent thefts are related.
