
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WWJ) - Michigan State Police were called to road rage incident on the Lodge Freeway Friday afternoon which escalated to the point where one man drew his handgun and threatened the victim.
Troopers responded to reports of aggressive behavior from a driver in the area of 9 Mile Rd. and Livernois on southbound M-10 at 3:45 p.m. Friday. The victim had been able to record the entire interaction on her phone, to include when the suspect raised a black firearm and pointed it at the woman.
After a brief investigation and further questioning, detectives were able to locate the suspect and confirm his identity. Troopers were able to recover a pistol and he was taken into police custody.
The suspect is currently pending an interview at the Detroit Detachment.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing in a tweet to the public. The name of the suspect has not been released at this time. After the investigation is complete, a report will be submitted for review with the prosecutor's office.
