(WWJ) Another metro Detroit man has been arrested on charges related to the violent riot and siege at the U.S. Capitol in January.

A document filed in federal court says Anthony Robert Williams of Southgate was taken into custody Friday in the Eastern District Michigan in connection with a federal arrest warrant issued in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

The 45-year-old is facing federal charges of knowingly enter or remain in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, obstruction of official proceedings, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

He awaits a preliminary examination in the case.

Five other men from Michigan have been arrested previously and face similar charges.

Most recently, 43-year-old Daniel Herendeen of Chesterfield Township and 39-year-old Bobby Schornak of Roseville were charged last week with obstructing Congress, breaking into the Capitol and disorderly conduct. Both are free on bond.
