According to Detroit police authorities, at around 12:45 a.m., officers recognized an individual in a stolen vehicle at a gas station on Schoolcraft and Outer Drive from an earlier incident.

The suspect then took off.
Police later found the stolen vehicle on the 15700 block of Grandville; both the driver and the third passenger were gone.
A K-9 unit was called in to assist and tracked the suspect and the third occupant to a home in the area; the suspect was apprehended by police and taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, the department said.
