
DETROIT (WWJ) - A drug bust by state police saw several thousand dollars worth of fentanyl removed from Detroit streets on Tuesday, authorities said.
Michigan State Police said officers with the County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) raided a Wayne County home on Jan. 31 and found a half-kilo of fentanyl.
Authorities seized the drugs, which carry a street value of $30,000.
So far, MSP has not said if any arrests were made in connection to the raid, but the investigation was forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.
The special investigation is being backed by the Justice Department and Michigan State Police.
