LSU gymnast Oliva Dunne will grace the pages of the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Dunne, who has parlayed her social media following into success into becoming the highest-earning female athlete in the name/likeness/image era of college sports, announced on her Twitter page that she would appear in the upcoming issue. Her announcement on Thursday morning came shortly after Sports Illustrated tweeted the news on its official page.
"Thank you @SI_Swimsuit for making my dreams come true," Dunne tweeted, sharing the Sports Illustrated post in the process.
In a separate retweet, Dunne shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from the magazine photo shoot.
According to Sports Illustrated, Dunne traveled to Puerto Rico for the photo shoot. That shoot took place while Dunne was inactive from the LSU gymnastics team while recovering from an injury. Dunne, who was ranked as one of the top performers on the uneven bars, returned to the team in February and was with the squad during its run to the NCAA Championships in April.
