According to the ABC broadcast, the Tigers were the first team in the past 25 years to have three different players throw touchdown passes in a bowl game.

The first was Jayden Daniels, who finished the day 12-17 for 139 yards and a TD. He also added 67 yards rushing on his 6 carries. Daniels' touchdown went to freshman TE Mason Taylor in the first quarter.

The next two were lobbed by Garrett Nussmeier. The first was to WR Brian Thomas, and the second was a 75-yard flip-and-run to Malik Nabers. The talented WR finished with an impressive 9 catches for a team-high 163 yards. Nussmeier finished 11-15 for 173 yards, 2 TDs and an interception.

The final touchdown pass was thrown by ... that Nabers fellow. He actually completed two passes in the game, the second coming on an end around as he found Daniels alone in the end zone for a unique touchdown and a unique record.

True freshman Walker Howard took over for a majority of the fourth quarter and led a touchdown drive, but it was finished off by RB Derrick Davis Jr. Running back John Emery Jr. also added a touchdown, and Noah Cain found the end zone twice on a massive day for the Tigers offense. They also set a new Citrus Bowl record with 594 yards of offense (previous record was 589), and margin of victory at 49 (previous record was 42). They also tied the Citrus Bowl scoring mark with 56 points.
