LSU quarterback Max Johnson doesn't just have a Super Bowl champion to look up to in his father, Brad Johnson, but also a social media influencer.

Yes, former NFL quarterback Brad Johnson has found his new calling: Trick shots. The elder Johnson, who goes by BigBadBrad on TikTok, has more than 20,000 followers and 238 million views on his various videos, which don't always feature a football.

One of his most recent videos featured a nifty spin of a basketball before a layup and full-court football bank shot as a cover of John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" plays.

Max smiled when asked about his father's social media presence this week.

"He gets after it on those trick shots and he makes them all the time," Max said. "His little slogan is ‘first try, first take.' "

But there's more than just social media clout LSU's new starting quarterback can pull from his father, who notably won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003.

“Just some of the advice he’s given me is just, give your all. Be the best you can be every day," Johnson said. "Encourage others just to go be great. … Be present in the moment. Don’t think about what happened in the past and don’t think ahead of you. Just focus on the details, focus on the little things and just try to become the best you can be.”

And the Johnson football pedigree isn't done arriving at LSU. Max's younger brother, Jake, is committed to the Tigers' 2022 class as a tight end.
