Tiger Stadium will really be rocking on Saturday night for the first time in more than a year, but fans will have to take care of business first if they want to be in that number.

Much like the New Orleans Saints, LSU will require fans 12 and older to verify they've received a COVID-19 vaccine or show a negative PCR test taken within the prior 72 hours.

Such checks went smoothly for the lone Saints preseason game held in New Orleans, with Tigers officials in attendance to observe and look for pointers.

There are a few differences in how LSU will be conducting its checks compared to the Saints. See the key details in the FAQ below.

HOW CAN I VERIFY VACCINE STATUS?

The most efficient way will be to download the LA Wallet app and connect it to your vaccine info. The app displays a scannable code and can also link your driver's license. LA Wallet representatives will be on-hand to help with app setup or questions on game day.

Otherwise bring your vaccine card a copy or image (both sides) with you on gameday.

HOW LONG WILL VERIFICATION TAKE?

That's tough to say, considering it's the first time with has happened. But LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward said school representatives will be canvassing the tailgate area for pre-screening.

Fans who are pre-screened will then be given a wristband that will allow them to bypass the screening at the gate, but the wristbands will still be inspected at the gate and should not be transferred to another person or tampered with.

Fans can get pre-screened from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on gameday at any one of 12 locations across campus (shown in the image below).

Fans who do not get pre-screened will also be able to verify vaccine status or a negative PCR test at Tiger Stadium entry gates.

CAN I GET VACCINATED ON GAMEDAY?

Yes. Vaccinations will be offered at no cost from noon to 6 p.m. on game day at the upper southwest portal of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Vaccinated fans will then receive a card that can be used for verification and entry at the stadium gates.

━━━━

CAN I GET TESTED ON GAMEDAY?

Yes, but plan ahead. LSU is offering testing for anyone who pre-registered, also at the upper southwest portal of the PMAC from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on gameday.

Fans seeking to get tested on gameday must register at this link by 5 p.m. Friday (Sept. 10). Tests will cost $35. Once registered, fans will have a QR code sent to them to check in for testing.

ARE VACCINES REQUIRED TO TAILGATE?

No, but any fans planning to go from the tailgate to the game itself should be prepared to verify their vaccine status.

━━━━

ARE MASKS REQUIRED?

Yes and no. Masks will be required for all fans moving around inside Tiger Stadium, but will not be required for fans age 12 and over in their seats outdoors. Children age 5-11 are required to wear masks throughout the game as they are not eligible to be vaccinated. Children from 2-4 years old are recommended, but not required to wear masks.

LSU and McNeese kick off at 7 p.m. (CST) on ESPN+. Additional gameday info can be found by clicking here or visiting LSUSports.net.
