There's never a lack of pettiness when the Saints and Falcons face off, and that continued to be the case in Week 18 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

How did the Falcons subtly show that dynamic? Just look at the scoreboard, where instead of Saints, it read "visitors" next to the New Orleans logo.

It's not the first time the Falcons have gone with the "visitors" approach, but it's always entertaining, particularly when the Saints are the ones fighting for the playoffs. And they got off to a perfect start in that endeavor, taking the first drive 84 yards in 10 plays that was finished off with an impressive throw-and-catch to Adam Trautman, who battled across the goal-line for an early 7-0 lead.

The touchdown marked the first time this season the Saints managed a touchdown on their opening drive in a game. Even in a 17th game, it saved this year's group from achieving that feat of negativity for an entire season. New Orleans was the only team in the NFL without an opening-possession touchdown.

The Falcons, already eliminated from the playoffs, drove for a field goal on the ensuing possession. The Saints still have a chance at the playoffs, simply needing a victory and a 49ers loss to the Rams, with both games going off simultaneously.
