If there was a rift between Michael Thomas and the New Orleans Saints, you'd have had a hard time spotting it before the team's preseason opener against the Ravens.
Thomas was spotted on the field pregame, smiling as he rocked a Saints shirt and hat. It was reported earlier in the game that he had joined the team in Baltimore and would be on the sidelines.
Thomas hasn't been seen publicly at training camp thus far as he recovers from June ankle surgery. The timing of that surgery was what prompted frustration from Saints coach Sean Payton. It was also reported that Thomas didn't answer calls during the offseason.
Thomas posted an image to social media that suggested the Saints were attempting to damage his reputation, and trade rumors predictably swirled. But the team appears to be mending fences and getting back to business after Thomas and Payton reportedly had a positive conversation this week.
