
The New Orleans Police Department is asking the public for help finding a youthful offender who escaped juvenile custody.
Police say he also pointed a gun at a woman and threatened to shoot her last week.

"Sixteen-year old Kai Jefferson (pictured) is wanted by the NOPD on three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of simple criminal damage," said NOPD in a statement. "Jefferson is also wanted by the Office of Juvenile Justice for escape from custody."
According to police, on December 8 Jefferson pointed a firearm at a woman in the 14500 block of Duane Rd. in New Orleans East and threated to shoot her.
Police say the victim told them that Jefferson has threatened to shoot her on several other occasions.
