NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials on Wednesday, said that two men were arrested in Queens on Tuesday for allegedly working as armed and unlicensed bounty hunters.
City deputy sheriffs encountered Arkeem Spencer and Jonathan Devin while conducting social distancing enforcement on Steinway Street in Astoria.
According to officials, both men were posing as bounty hunters despite being unlicensed.
"Deputy Sheriffs while conducting enforcement operations on Steinway Street, Queens arrest 2 unlicensed bounty hunters for a multitude of illegal weapons and equipment possession: air pistol, baton, chemical agents, handcuffs and various motor vehicle violations," the NYC Sheriff posted on Twitter.
Spencer and Devin are expected to face charges related to operating as unlicensed bail enforcement agents as well as illegal weapons offenses, according to an official at the Sheriff's Office.
