NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two bystanders were injured by stray gunfire Monday evening in Brooklyn, according to police.

At about 5:48 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of multiple people shot at the intersection of East 21st Street and Ditmas Avenue in Flatbush.

Police found two women injured by gunfire, a 26-year-old woman shot in the right leg, and a 50-year-old woman shot in the right arm.

Neither were believed to be the intended targets.

Both were transferred to Kings County Hospital where they are in stable condition.

Police say the victims were walking when they saw a group of men engaged in a dispute, after which an unknown individual started firing at the group.

No arrests have been made.
