NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released surveillance early Thursday of two men linked to a violent attempted robbery in Brooklyn.
The incident occurred at 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 5, is the Sunset Park section when officials say the two suspects approached a 31-year-old man near 52 Street and 5th Avenue and demanded his money.
The victim refused to comply and the individuals brandished a box cutter and slashed him in the neck and cheek, police say.
Both suspects fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.
EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released.
Authorities say no property was taken from the victim as a result of the incident.
