NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Two police officers were shot during a drug bust in Westchester, breaking overnight, authorities say.
Anthony Piccolino, Ardsley Chief of police said that the Greenburgh Swat officers sustained non-life threatening injuries at a local hotel late Monday night and were transferred to a hospital to recover.
The 43-year-old perpetrator was killed at the scene.
The incident happened at the Ardsley Acres Hotel on Saw Mill Road around 11 p.m.
One of the wounded cops is from Greenburgh and was saved by his bulletproof vest.
The other, from Dobbs Ferry, was shot in the leg.
