2 women arrested for attempted murder on LI: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Nassau County police said Wednesday, two women were arrested for attempted murder in an incident that occurred on Dec 31, in Franklin Square. According to detectives, officers responded to a call for a male stabbed on Franklin Avenue.

Upon police arrival, officials discovered a 17-year-old boy that stated he was in his vehicle when he was approached by several people who started to bang on his door demanding he open it.

When opened his door, he and was slashed across his face and stabbed in his back, police said.

The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction.After a thorough investigation 18-year-old Rachel Belizaire, of North Valley Stream and 23-year-old Kendly Fleurentine, of Brooklyn were both arrested without incident.Police charged both women with second dgree attempted murder and first degree assault.

Rachel Belizaire was arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at First District Court.

Kendly Fleurentine will be arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at First District Court in Hempstead.
