NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the courtyard of a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn on Monday, the NYPD said.
Police responding to a 911 call around 2:30 p.m. on Monday found Jaylen Flowers, 25, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, unconscious in the rear courtyard of a Howard Houses building on Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville, police said.
Flowers had two gunshot wounds to his torso, the NYPD said. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No one had been arrested in connection with his death as of Monday evening. An investigation is ongoing.
