NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a Harlem apartment building Friday afternoon.
Two firefighters were also injured -- one seriously, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
The three victims had gunshots to the head.
When police arrived, responding to shots fired, they found a man, 78, dead in the first floor hallway with a gunshot wound to the head.
Another man was barricaded on the first floor. EMS eventually made it into the apartment. They found a man, 59, with an apparent self-inflicted fatal gunshot wound.
A 62-year-old woman was found dead in the the 2nd floor apartment.
Police said there was a dispute between the 78 year old victim and the 59 year old gunman.
The 62 year old woman is described by police as a neighbor who also lives in the building.
Two firearms were recovered from the suspect's apartment.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
