NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three people were struck in a pair of separate shootings that occurred early Friday in Brooklyn, officials said.
Just after midnight, a gunman inside of a BMW opened fire outside of 1 St. Pauls Court in Flatbush, striking a man in his 30s in the back and a 28-year-old woman in the knee, according to police.
The shooter then jumped back into the white sedan and fled north, authorities said.
The victims were taken to King County Hospital and were being uncooperative with police.
Both are expected to survive.
A second shooting incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. after a dispute in front of 639 Union St. in the Gowanus section, officials said.
According to the NYPD, shootings have risen by nearly 200 percent over the last month.
