NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A three-year-old was burned to death in the backseat of a car Sunday in Queens.
Zoey Pereira was pulled out of an Audi which was on fire near Baisley Boulevard and 155th Street just before 9 p.m.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver, the girl's 39-year-old father, jumped into a nearby pond, and was apprehended with second and third degree burns.
Police say the act was related to a custody battle.
