NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The World Cup-winning U.S. Women's National Team will receive a much-deserved victory parade in New York City’s Canyon of Heroes Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
The squad will celebrate their fourth triumph traveling through a route that will take them from Battery Park to City Hall down Broadway.
1. Bowling Green – The park gives viewers a chance to see the parade off from the start.
2. Rector Street and Broadway – Conveniently located next to the Wall Street stop, it’s a fine spot to catch the parade as it marches by.
3. Dey Street and Broadway – Another excellent intersection which grants fans great views of the team.
4. Saint Paul’s Chapel – This historic house of worship, the oldest surviving church building in Manhattan, is a National Historic Landmark and an easy spot to meet up with friends.
5. City Hall Park – The parade ends here, with a special ceremony at City Hall Plaza, which unfortunately quickly sold out. However, the floats will circle the park before the ceremony begins, offering a great opportunity to bask in the glow of the champions.
