NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 63-year-old woman who used a wheelchair was killed in a fire at her home in Queens late Tuesday, police say.
The blaze broke out in the first floor of the Queens Village house at approximately 11:30 p.m. and firefighters were able to contol the flames by midnight.
A suspect, a tenant, was arrested following an investigation by fire marshalls and NYPD detectives.
EMS that responded pronounced her dead on scene.
Neighbors say the victim was in a wheelchair after recently sufferring a stroke.
