For nearly 50 years, ShopRite has been running the ads featuring the Moulin Rouge-style cartoon dancing girls in petticoats, fishnets and garters hawking discounts on canned goods.

However, the latest newspaper ad for the supermarket chain features a guy in a beret saying "Ooh-la-la" about a can of soup.

"From time to time, we refresh the creative for this iconic sale," said Karen O’Shea, a spokeswoman for ShorRite's corporate parent Wakefern.
