NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- After a standoff with police, officials arrested a Newark man accused of killing two people in Essex County.
According to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, Newark and Orange police departments, authorities charged 33-year-old Michael Mayse, with the Dec. 15 murder of 23-year-old Keyshawn Jones, and the Nov. 9 murder of 35-year-old Shakur Cole.
Police say Jones was fatally shot in an apartment at Stephen Crane Village located on Franklin Avenue.
