Amtrak worker shoots supervisor at Queens facility, kills self in nearby Rite Aid parking lot

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An Amtrak employee shot himself after shooting his supervisor at the Sunnyside Yard facility in Queens on Thursday.  

The gunman shot several rounds, hitting the victim in the leg.


The suspect fled the Amtrak facility in his black SUV to a Rite Aid parking lot about 10 blocks away.

After a standoff with ESU, the gunman fatally shot himself in the chest while inside his car.

The incident is believed to have been a workplace dispute.
